Cunnilingus Oral and HIV Risk

I had protected sex and decided to perform unprotected cunnilingus on my sexual partner. After having sex I noticed blood on the condom. So I went to the bathroom to wash up and noticed blood around my chin and mouth. I am extremely worried that her blood might have gotten in contact with my blood somehow. A day after having sex I asked her to get an HIV check which came back negative on the antibody.

Should I be worried?

Obviously I have a very good reason to be worried. She sat on my face and I performed cunnilingus and she bled into my mouth. Makes me sick thinkin about it... not much but the presence of blood was there.

So saliva contains molecules that support the immune system - which inhibit the aids/hiv virus from attacking the body.

A small protein in human saliva blocks the AIDS virus from infecting human cells in the test tube, Federal scientists reported at a meeting here last week. The protein might help explain why the spread of the virus through saliva is apparently so rare, said the scientists, who were from the National Institute of Dental Research in Bethesda, Md.

The protein does not directly attack H.I.V., the AIDS virus. Instead, it seems to act indirectly, by attaching to the surface of white blood cells known as monocytes, thus preventing infection with H.I.V., said Dr. Tessie B. McNeely and Dr. Sharon M. Wahl, the scientific team leaders. They reported the findings at a meeting sponsored by the American Society for Microbiology.

Could you possibly base your statement upon facts? In other words, provide factual documents that support your statement. Not only for me, but others as well. Thanks. For example, why? Why when female blood, or blood in general enters your mouth, is it not a risk for hiv?

No, you didn't have a risk to begin with.
