If you believe you have been exposed to HIV and want help to judge your risk, would like advice about HIV testing, or have questions about the effectiveness of condoms or risks associated with specific sexual practices, this is the site for you.
I'm not really sure where this question belongs, but it is would a patient with type 2 diabetes be routinely tested by Dr. for HIV? My ex has been with someone I find very questionable since we were together, and he claims to have been tested for all STD's, and in addition has so much blood work done for the diabetes that it would be apparent if he had HIV from even non specific tests, is that true?
Any other way, you are taking his word, which is totally up to you if you believe him. Personally, if it were me, I would ask for the testing together. And, use a condomCondoms Female condoms until you have results.
Absolutely NOT. The ONLY way a person can find out his/her status is to have an HIV test. Nothing is going to show in any other bloodwork.
My advice to you is....if you are still having a hard time with this issue, request that the two of you be tested together. His test would be conclusive 3 months after an episode of unprotected vaginal or anal sex.
