Does hiv cause swollen lymph node under 1 arm

Hi, Here is my sad pathetic story. I had risky exposure with a woman ( unprotected vag ) of unknown status. On 51 day I had a swollen lymph node under my left arm. Is this ARS. I am really really freaking out. Please advise. I am planning to get tested soon. Because of this I am scared to get tested. Please advise.

Your test 4th Gen Duobis conclusive anytime from 28 days.

You followed Nursegirls advice and got tested. That took courage. You are negative. Move on.

Thank again nursegirl6572. I learnt my lesson. I am working on putting all this behind and move forward but these reoccurring symptoms are making me anxious. I know I m not suppose to use Web or do self diagnosis, instead see a doctor. But I couldn't get a doctor appointment right away.

After some research it says these symptoms are mononucleosis like symptoms. Does that make any sense to you please let me know?  Thanks in advance

Web self diagnosis is a BAD idea, especially someone who is anxious.  Whatever is causing your symptoms, it is NOT HIV.

Really, time to move on from this forum.

I had night sweats ysterday, lymph are still swollen, fever, sore throat, upset stomach, headache, fatigue. What could these symptoms related. Based on WebMD self diagnosis - it can be related to CMV, EBV, HIV...

I am really worried about these reoccurring symptoms. I would really appreciate any suggestions

ARS comes on at 2-4 weeks and has many symptoms.

Thanks for response nursegirl, I did get tested before, right after 3 weeks with pcr rna from quest diagnostics which was negative. I was a little relaxed after that results. But now this swollen lymph node is freaking me out. It is between my chest and armpit (in my armpit). This should not be hiv right. ARS should take 7 weeks right?  Or am I wrong.  Thanks for any response.

No.  Acute HIV symptoms involving swollen lymph nodes would not present as an isolated inflamed node.

There is absolutely NO reason to be scared of testing.  Most likely, you're just putting off the relief of getting a negative result.  A DUO test (antibody and antigen) would be definitive at this point for you.  Quit putting it off, and go get tested!
