Drunken Mistake

Hi all.

I'm an anxiety sufferer and had an incident of receiving unprotected oral sex from a Poz undetectable person in May. I went on PEP for that and I tested negative when all was said and done. I know I probably should have never gone on PEP in the first place, and have been much more easygoing since I know how HIV is transmitted-- mostly anal and vaginal sex, and very rarely oral.

Last night (a few hours ago) I went to an after hours sex club in NYC with a guy I know. I didn't black out, but I was drunk. I'm pretty sure a few guys performed oral sex on me (maybe 2 or 3?) and briefly. I don't know their status. And I was getting into it with one guy- he put a condom on my dick and inserted it briefly and I stopped it. He fingered me. I kept the condom and checked for holes. Another guy tried to have anal sex with me with a condom and I stopped that.

I am worried I had anal sex without a condom and I don't remember? I don't know why I would remember everything (it was a blur) but not that? I know I didn't get ******, I just got fingered. I ended up just jerking off and went home. I'm not one for sex clubs and this was a first to this kind of place for me.

I am a hypochondriac, but should I get PEP if I had anal sex I don't remember?

You need to address your anxiety issue and maybe drinking issue. But this is not a HIV concern and we are not going to play the "what if" game.

Yes, I know condoms work. My biggest worry is that I had an episode of anal sex with someone else where I was a top and I just don't remember it because I was drunk. It's kinda blurry. I know I didn't bottom- I don't recall any pain. But I'm scared I topped someone else bare and I don't remember.

AND I NEVER EVER have had unprotected sex. This is a big phobia for me.

Thanks everyone for the thoughts.

Final question: is it possible to forget insertive anal sex? I remember the times when a few guys TRIED to put a condom on me so I could top them, but I said no. And one guy briefly put one on and I went inside for a moment and ducked right back out because I didn't want to. That's my major concern- I am not so worried about the oral sex.

Until then, I will continue taking the Viread and Epivir in case I had unprotected insertive anal sex. I hope that not taking AZT with those other drugs will be okay for a possible high risk exposure.

Ditto what Teak said.

FYI...nPEP is not antibiotics, it's a regimen of anti-viral medications.  Antibiotics treat bacterial infections.

You never had an exposure and never needed testing let alone nPEP.

you should stop your reckless behavior if you don't have the nerves to accept what your doing, your still on the safe side for contracting hiv, but hiv is not the only virus out there.

pep is not the morning after pill and taking antibiotics every time you have sexual encounters will only destroy your stomach flora.
that is not good either, try to adjust your life style to your personality.
find what you really want and instead of being frighten of hiv educate on the matter.

condoms always, no hat no party.

Vance- I should also mention I went with a friend who I've known for a bit. We kissed, he rimmed me briefly, and performed brief oral sex on me-- he is positive and undetectable. I don't really remember that happening [vaguely] so that makes my concern more heightened.

I'm taking Viread + Epivir as PEP now; have AZT, too, but can't stomach it. My doc said Viread + Epivir only are more than enough.

I'm also worried because I had a mole removed on Wednesday on my torso and there is a hole there now healing. It is less than the size of a penny and deep- I am worried that maybe fluids got on the wound, though I didn't take my shirt off and don't remember that at all.
