My paranoia

Hey all...great site! The past few days I have been paranoid, and I believe for no good reason, but just to confirm my paranoia I decided to come here and get some opinions. I feel calmed already, because after checking out some posts regarding HIV transmission, I am pretty certain I'm okay. So. My ex was a drug addict. Six months before I met him, he was in rehab, and tested negative for HIV and other diseases. He relapsed and was using when we began dating, but there was no sexual contact. He went to rehab a year after his previous rehab stay, and again, tested negative. He admitted that he relapsed again after this second stay but after two weeks stopped for good (and I could tell the difference, he truly did stop). However, he never shared needles (from what he told me, and he confided in me a lot during his struggles) and I could tell he was being honest. Even so, once I unfortunately witnessed him using, and he thoroughly cleaned the needle with bleach beforehand (obviously to kill any germs). We had sexual contact a few months after his second stay, giving and receiving oral sex (no ejaculation in the mouth any time) as well as genital contact (not intercourse). I have had absolutely no symptoms (we have been separated for over half a year).

Am I right that I am just being paranoid? thanks!

Well, Did you have any unpro sex. Like anal. If not you weren't at risk. In order to calm your fears though, you may test. You have been sep for over a year and half so why not test. That would answer your question without a doubt. But then again it was just oral. I wouldn't be to worried though. Have you ever had any other partner or practiced unpro sex? Anal would be the risk if unprotected.Have you ever tested?
