Dear teak with reference to your answer
Then how drug users get infected while sharing needles?

Did you share a syringe with a fellow drug user?  If so, that's a high risk exposure.

The reason the virus can remain active in a drug sharing exposure is because the blood inside of the syringe is not exposed to the elements, and when the second person uses the syringe, they inject the contents (including the blood from the last user) directly into their bloodstream.
