Enlarged Spleen from HIV?

Its been almost 12 weeks since my risky exposure, unprotected intercourse with a female of unknown hiv status...My question is at 11.5 weeks can you get an enlarged spleen related to HIV symptoms?? I did also have a negative antibody test at 8 weeks...A coulple of days ago i also tested negative for mono, they did a blood test as well which came back normal

:)

always use condoms for penetrative sex.
"the moment" lasts a few minutes...hiv lasts a lifetime.

Got it.....thank you sooooooooo much. My next step then will be to take the test on Monday, pray for a negative result and move on with a huge life lesson under my belt!

that question has already been answered.

it is unlikely that your 8 week test will change...but test at 3 months for a conclusive result.

not much else we can tell ya.

if your enlarged spleen has been diagnosed by a doctor...continue to work with him on your health issues.

the only way to know your status is to test.

well ive never had an enlarged spleen before in my life...although im only 20, but from what ive read an enlarged spleen means your body is trying to fight off an infection. I however am not sick...im just concerned that it may be hiv related...I did have unprotected intercourse with a girl of unknown status in mid feb. I tested negative at 8 weeks...And this girl "gets around"...thats why im sooo worried
