FFP - Geo Tongue

Hey man (feel free to chime in Peek, Teak, regjoey, Mike_no, and the rest of the more knowledgable folks here)-

I have a legitimate question here. You think having slight GT (now that I have it...) increases risk of exposure from going down on a woman?

Thanks.

Charge them? Uh....

I would be honored if someone was willing to pay me for my services.

Hah. This is true...somehow....he's fat and in his 70s now too...

Well, anyways, thanks for answer my question.

I think as long as we (straight men) all stick to: unprotected receiving BJ / unprotected eating out / protected vag/anal should be OK. My final risk assesment.

Yes sir, just keep the condoms handy and the water base lube and don't charge them, or that will be another subject.

As for you lady friends seeing it. If it isn't as long as the guy with "Kiss" has, she'll never notice.

He could put at tattoo on it and the girls would still cringe and get weak knees. No, it does not increase your risk.

Hah, good point, Gene Simmons couldn't live with it.

I'm going to go ahead, since I know everything else you said to be true (I've accepted that a while ago), and assume your first word, 'no', was in reference to my question: Does it increase my risk?

No, GT is a normal thing that happens to people for a number of reasons. It's not a concern for anything, it's not a health risk or issue. It may look funny, but as long as you keep it in your mouth, no one will even know.

Thank you for taking time out your argument with Teak to answer me.

I appreciate it.

Seriously.

No it doesn't.
The only thing that increases the risk is an actual break in the mucosal membrane, like a wound or a sore.

helpasap claims to be a man.

Teak, you've responded to far less relevant questions...can you please answer mine?

Thats what the experts say about condoms, Jag so I feel safe enough with those guidelines.

Three months is conclusive.  I am just OCD about it at this point and because I see it listed 3 to 6 months everywhere, I am going to test at 6 just so the what ifs don't come back to haunt me.  Helpasap went through a bad bad situation.  I know Her(?) posts drive everyone crazy including myself, but I can imagine if I was raped (bya man, anyways) I'd be pretty f'd up in the head too.

You know, a couple of months ago, I came across the worst hiv website that I have ever seen.  I have been trying to find it again, but I don't think I would post the link because some of the ww's wouldn't understand that it is just a rediculous site.  The site actually stated that the stats on transmission from male to female was 1/2, and about 18% for female to male.  It also said that the window period was up to 2 years.  Even in a state of complete devistation, I just laughed at that site.  I remember it was even linked to harvard in one way or another.  Its idiots like that that make people like us psychotic about hiv.  I would like to kick the s**t out of people who go about spouting ignorance like that and pretending to know what they are talking about.  Imagine living with this fear for 2 years.  I really think I would die.

*shudders*

If you've seen what I've seen, you'd never go there.  Not without a condom over your entire face.

*shudders again*

At least with the male anatomy, everything is...separate, and packaged neatly to keep you away from the yuckier parts.

What about 3 months conclusive...I thought that was the standard these days? helpasap is the only one who ever posts about post-3/6 months I think anyways and that 'person' shouldn't even be posting in the first place. I'm going to go ahead and assume that because no one has ever gotten it through going down on a woman (I don't think, maybe one case...either way it's the rarest/lowest insertive sex risk...not even mentioned on CDC websites) that plenty of people had to have this condition while doing that so it can't really be considered a risk (any more than without GT). One other question related to all of us becoming/staying smart in the future...does using lube inactivate HIV as well as reduce the risk of condom failure? I've seen studies where it may...? If I have this correct...the way to stay (I suppose remain, in my case) negative is to use rubbers for vag, anything else doesn't warrant concern.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again.  Stop looking at your tongue.  ;)

I know what you mean.  It is definitely something to think about.  I am seperated from the wife now, and will probably be a single man soon.  If I am, I will just use condoms and if I catch hiv through a condom break or one of the rare forms of transmission, I gues it was just meant to be.  Im only gonna go down on the classiest of chics too.  It is a weakness of mine, I love doing it.  Its almost more for me than them.

Are you going to test anymore or are you pretty comfortable now?  Im going for one more at exactly 6 months,  but everyone seems to think I am crazy for it.  I won't be able to relax until I am past all of the reccomended test periods.  Any of those f'ers saying anything past six months need to have their dum azz kicked and their ability to communicate taken away.

And I wouldn't consider these patches to be 'raw' in the sense of the word (certainly no bleeding). Just bald...you know, I'm sure.

Yep, thanks for getting back to me, farfrom. I appreciate it, man (and Freak and peek's - damn, a lot people's names rhyme - answers too). I think I remember Dr. Bob saying something about it (in the MSM sense) on a post - theoretical increase? yes...but measurable increase? no. You're probably right about HHH. I've spent enough money on tests and such to waste another $15. I'm concerned about my future...from both a risk assesment point of view as well as the fact that I don't want to end up in the same shape I was in for 12 weeks...

Arggh, I finally had a legitimate question. Teak, can you answer me? I guess I'm getting paid back for some of my comments.

Jag, I agree your question is far more relevant than many.  Im sorry I don't know the answer, as I wouldnt think anyone would.  If you have raw open places on your tongue, it would seem that the theorhetical risk would increase, but you know that oral poses no measureable risk.  I would think that you would have to have a gaping fresh wound in your mouth and be exposed to large quantities of blood or fluid to even have a chance of being infected.  But as I have said many times, what do I know?  This might be a good one for Dr H, but I think he would probably say about the same as what I did, so Im not spending 15 bucks on it.  Let me know if you find out anything.

No, Geographic tongue does not increase any risk of contracting HIV in the future. It is not a serious health condition and it resolves by itself. GT is not particularily caused by any infection or cancer either. so take it easy.

Mike...I've accepted the fact that I did not get it from that incident (which GT showed up ~6 days after!!!)...I was thinking of the future.

This is was filed under "Exposure and Risks." I think that question was faaaaaar more relevant than 99% of the questions on this website (who woulda thunk it?). I'm just trying to protect myself in the future. You still never answered my question, brother....
