Hi doctor,
I had one time unprotected sex with a female escort.I made a mistake and I am worried about HIV.I tested at a lab- THE tests were- HIV 1/2 CMIA combo and VDRL.
At 3rd day- negative
At 28th day- negative
At 42nd day- negative
How conclusive are the results?
When to test now?
Should I go for HIV RNA PCR?

Hi,
Pretty much conclusive at 42 days for a combo. You still have to finish at 3 months per the guidelines even for combo just to be sure. There are no doctors on the site only knowledgeable volunteers
