Unprotected sex with girl on her period

About five weeks ago I had too much to drink and had unprotected sex with a girl who just started her period. I know she has had many partners over the last few years and I got the impression she never insists on a condom so it was probably high risk. My penis was covered in blood.

How worried should I be?
How much does blood increase the chances of catching HIV?
Is it worth getting tested now or waiting longer?

Thanks

I asked her if she had been tested and she said a year ago but has had unprotected sex since then (she hardly ever uses condoms!).

Really worried now!

Well blood really increases the chance of HIV transmission (blood, breast milk, vaginal secretions, and semen) but this is IF SHE HAD HIV. Ask her to get tested. You seem kind of worried about this whole encounter so just wait 12 weeks (which is about 100 sure) 5 weeks and you get tested i can see you saying "What if?" and still stressing it. Because 5 weeks is not conclusive, there can still be a chance that it is a false negative. So just wait a bit longer make it 3 months and put this stress behind you and learn from this experience (DON'T HAVE SEX WITHOUT A CONDOM WITH SOMEONE THAT YOU DON'T KNOW IS 100% NEGATIVE), the chances are in your favor man.
you'll be alright bro
