confused and hope someone can help

i read lots of posts already, but now i am confused.

cuz you guys mentioned the infection only happened inside the body.

but if this is true then how can accident happend in medical area?

like nurse was pricked by a needle or doc cut by a knife?

those things happened outside the body, and they get hiv by inanimate things.

can anyone explain to me?

one more thing,i always suffered for gum diesease,is it safe for me to eat outside?

cuz you know cook usually cut their fingers and waitress can has bloody nose.

if i eat the contaminative food immediately, will it put in to a risk?

thanks advance.

Myth: Can a nurse assistant get HIV from eating food that was prepared by an infected person?

Fact: Once again, HIV dies very quickly outside the body. Even if the food prep person cut his finger and then attractively arranged your food on your plate, you would not become infected from eating this food. Once any body fluid is dry, you can be absolutely sure that the virus is dead. Just about the only way you could become infected this way is if the food prep person cuts off a finger, and as he is bleeding in your food, you are eating it at that exact moment. This scenario is rather extreme.

is that right?does that also mean need to happen simultaneously?

also hope can hear some from nursegirl, lizze and Vance.

thanks SO much!

hi teak,i received a mail from a prefessor in Pasteur.

i asked about the eating out with bleeding gum's question,

he said It is hard to say that one will never get HIV-1 infection by dinning out. But it is

highly unlikely.

can you tell me what kind of situation will put me in risk by dinning out?

thanks so much.

thank you so much teak ,for staying  up late to answer a strange's question.

i know  it's not easy for you.

hug.:)

so about the infection of hiv ,things need to be happened simultaneously,am i right?

even the body fuild is still wet but once it exposed to the air it become in active?

so even there is some blood in your food, but you are not eating it simultaneously.,

you are still safe.am i right?

thanks teak,i know hollow needle must be dangerous.

cuz blood can't expose to air.

then how about blade?

if i cut myself in the kitchen with the same blade which someone cut 2 mins ago, will it  be dangerous?

why it's so different from things happened in medical.they are all blades....

Injections into the blood stream, lacerations by fractured bones. In the 900 thousand plus healthcare exposures since 1985 there has only been 150 persons contract HIV. HIV is not transmitted from contaminated food or ice cream.
