Flu after protected sex. I'm sacred to death!

Hi,

Last week I had a soar throat and Tuesday I had protected sex with a girl meet on internet

As I masturbate before sex, when I ejaculated, I saw a very few volum of semen in condom. However, it didn't break or slip, it covered my entire penis when I removed it and throw it away.

One day after that my soar throat got worse, I got fever and body aches. My doctor told me it was a flu.

Now the flu went but I'm still very scared of getting something. I talked to that girl today, she said she tested a week ago and she was negative to all STD

Do you think I got an STD or worst HIV?

I'm very anxious and can't slip. Please help!

I forgot to mention that I have now my tongue irritated. It may be due to the flu medication I took but it just fuels my anxiety. :-(

You can't get hiv when you use a condom.
Your doctor already diagnosed you, so I'm not sure why you didn't accept his diagnosis instead of coming up with your own - but anyway your diagnosis of hiv is wrong.

Thanks for your reply. This flub just a day after the encounter is what is scarring me.

So it's just a coincidence?

What if the condom was not effective?

It was a latex condom that she provides and it didn't leak but I can't stop worrying

You'll be happy to learn that if a condom fails (is not effective, etc) it is a large rip down the seam --- so that didn't happen or you would have a hard time taking it off.
That makes all your other questions irrelevant, so it is time to move on.

Micro tears and pinhole leaks are a myth. No large rip down the seam = no problem with the condom.

Thanks for your help. I think I have an unexplained fixation in hiv, especially as I had the flu just after the encounter. I will work on it and accept that I've not been in risk

There is so much flu going around this year that it would actually be surprising if you didn't get it since you don't wear a mask. Lots of hospitals are overrun with respiratory illness patients needing hospitalization this year.

I was so obsessed by hiv that I even noticed we were during the flu season. Especially I'm in Canada, it can get pretty cold here

Colds and flu are not spread by the cold. They are caused when you are unmasked and inhale or inject infected people's virus, which happens more often in the winter  because people spend more time indoors then.

Thanks. So my lack of basic medical education trapped me in an anxiety and makes think I caught hiv.

I'm working on moving on but sometimes I have this unexplained fear when I feel even a small headache because I used my phone so long. It's crazy
