HIGH HIV Risk multiple sex partners?

Dear community experts

I have a question...

If I have multiple sex partners and also suffer from depression. I don't do this often but when i get depress, i usually visit csws but cause i feel really bad and hurt when i'm depressed. I tried to avoid this many times but it's hard. My question is that if I have multiple sex partners and i practice safe sex all the time, both oral and vaginal sex, no anal sex. Should i get test regularly? I have read in this forum that the chance of getting HIV- by HIV+ is 1 of 2000. What if i practice safe sex, does that mean I'm safe, let's say the worst scenario, though i doubt the people that i have been with has this virus. Because usually i ask her when we meet do you practice anal sex, most of the time, if she says yes then i will not have sex with her.

Please help me, I really appreciate your time reading my question and educate me on this.

Thanks so much

Regardless of how low the chances of contracting HIV via UNprotected sex may be, you should continue practicing safe sex as you have been doing.  Even if the girl says that she's 100% clean, there is still no need to take unecessary risks.  Keep being smart and using a condom and you shouldn't have to worry about HIV :)

Hi there,

Like I mentioned in your other thread,  I would recommend any sexually active person to have STI tests, including HIV, at least once a year.

HIV may not be the main concern with protected sex, but some other STI are......

Cheers!
