HIV Exposure BALI! Help!

I got kind of drunk and had sex with a prostitute in Bali, Indonesia and the condom broke. I felt it break. I stopped IMMEDIATELY (maybe 1 second) changed condoms and finished in about 10 minutes. (I was scared to death, but I finished mainly because I heard that ejaculation or passing urine lowers risk.) In actuality I should have stopped and cleaned up immediately, but as I said, I had too much to drink.

I recently discovered (since then) that the HIV infection rate in Indonesia is very high, especially in prostitutes. The prostitute asked me to buy a condom--which I thought was great--so she must use them regularly.

I know that, realistically, there is no way to quantify the exact risk, but the high rate of infection in Indonesia is really scaring me.

I cleaned up with some air disinfectant (maybe similar to Lysol) and mouthwash that she had in the bathroom. Can you give me an "off the top of your head" guess at the transmission odds for HIV? Would this be the same odds as "unprotected sex" or lower than that?

What about other STDs?

I know, but the doctors are saying that the risk is nearly zero in most cases of condom breakage. It seems especially true if you stop immediately.

I am currently waiting for a reply on the doctors forum.

That's great if true! I've noticed that the physicians here have answered similarly. But searching the web for "condom broke" and you will find a lot of warnings!

I, too, would have thought that once you get the bodily secretions on you, you have a problem...

yes that is correct, infact you voul have went for a few more seconds and still would have had a very low risk of getting anything, it take a lot longer then a few seconds for you to get any infection of diseases

A physician on another forum answered a similar question like this:

"If the condom broke and you replaced it immediately with another one there are very little chances for getting any sexual transmitted disease including HIV."

Is that correct?
