HIV (Increased) risk from oral when having chlamydia

Hi,

I tested positive for chlamydia during the summer and have since been treated. My worry is during this time (unsure of when it was acquired) I met a couple people off grindr and received oral. This was the only act, and I do know oral is virtually zero risk for HIV. However, if I did have chlamydia at the time, there is an increased risk from receiving oral? It seems this site is set on receiving oral being zero risk, however I'm still worried due to the increased risk.

Since you have read this site, I'll be brief. hiv is dead in air or saliva so the worst that happened is you touched dead virus.
There is no risk of hiv from oral because it's dead, so it can't become active in the presence of another disease.
"I do know oral is virtually zero risk for HIV." No, that is incorrect, it is zero.

Thanks for the quick reply. Definately some OCD on my end - it just seems at times in life something will go horribly wrong - assuming I'm like some people who post here, nervous about hurting others' lives as well as our own.

With the chlamydia, do you think the increased risk comes from a 'loosening' up of the skin/glands? Seems like it could be a perfect storm of loose glands plus blood from the receptive end. Would the saliva kill the hiv in the blood in the mouth? (I believe I heard a dr. on youtube saying something along these lines). What gets me a little is some people write posts or articles on the web saying that it does happen from oral. I'm going to test regardless for peace of mind, and will cringe until then. Thanks again.
Having an STD only increases your risk for HIV if you had a risk to begin with.  You did not have any risk at all, so even if it doubled your risk, 0 x 2 = 0.

No one has ever been infected with HIV by receiving oral sex, and you will not be the first.
"There is no risk of hiv from oral because it's dead, so it can't become active in the presence of another disease." I'm sure you know that something dead can't come to life.
