HIV Negative but still sick with classic symptoms

Hello All,

Thanks for your time.

I've had a unprotected vaginal sex with someone later came to know who is certain HIV+. i had all the symptoms from exactly 3rd week like fever, sore throat, loss of appetite, weight loss, fatigue, chest inflammation, enlarged spleen.
Did a duo rapid test at 8, 10, 12 and 14 weeks, came back negative. still feeling sick, chest and throat inflammation still exists even after 3 months and do i need any further test? or should i consult a ID?
Need help please

At 14weeks, your test results are 99% accurate. So be rest assured that hiv isn't the problem here.

Hello,

Is 14 week SD Bioline Rapid Duo Test Negative conclusive even after classic symptoms at accurate timeline and with existing auto immune disease (hypothyroidism)?

Please need your verdict to proceed further

I really appreciate your reply. sorry to bother, as i had all the symptoms (including fever). I have hypothyroidism which is auto immune disease. My GP couldnt find any other cause for this sickness as all blood tests are normal except B12 and Iron deficiency. Would you suggest me to visit ID specialist with all these consistent ARS symptoms to rule out possible late seroconversion. Thanks in advance

No further testing is required. You were negative conclusively at 12 weeks. Drs that posted on medhelp subscribe to 8-10 weeks as conclusive.
