HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.
im sorry to bug you.....i was wondering if you could clarify this. HIV can be transmitted through vaginal fluids im sure...how come by me rubbing my penis on and around her vagina and clitoris (while both being wet) poses no risk? Ive heard a ton of mixed stuff and generally NO PENETRATION = NO RISK...how true?
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!
****with no condom on at this point***

ok...thank you. So u suggest testing back in 2weeks. im pretty sure it was between 10-11 weeks when i got tested.
thnxs!
for someone who had a risk...a test at 3 months post exposure would be conclusive
thanks bud! Also I was wondering if you know the new guideline for the window period. Ive heard 30-45 days and 3months conclusive. Ive also heard 6months, 1year, 5 years!!!!!
I appreciate your time and help
Frottage isn't a risk of HIV transmission.
thanks for the prompt replies, so in essence I was never t risk by rubbing? I always believed vaginal fluid could infect and I was exposed to it in this case. Also I took the Clearview Complete HIV 1/2 antibody test...how accurate is that at 10/11 weeks, can I move on?
My bad. I read that all wrong. I thought the 10-11 weeks was after unprotected sex.
You never had a risk and don't need testing.
If you two want to be in a monogamous relationship, why don't you both get tested? Of course, that requires you to both actually be monogamous. That requires trust.
Anyway, 10-11 weeks is very close to three months, which is the window for a conclusive result with antibody testing.
Massaging her clitoris or other external genitalia with your penis is not a risk for transmission.
