No, the blisters do not increase your risk.
Hello every one, i just had the same problem of above, but i have a litle blister wich is not bleeding.. does that increase the risk? beeing realistic i know that chances of getting hiv are super low.. but there is still a risk caused because of the blister or the salive protects everything??? thank u :)
Saliva contains over a dozen different enzymes and proteins that inhibit HIV transmission.
Thanks for your comment. The science does not support abosbtion via the stomach rather the lining in the mouth. I spit the semen out so my concern is transmission via the tissue in the mouth of course.
Plus, practically consumption of semen is not the right mechanism of HIV contraction. The gastric acid in your stomach will inhibit the virus. Please go through the references teak has provided, it certainly keeps no speculations alive that oral is a risk.
Well you can't argue, the CDC was involved in one of the above studies.
The CDC seems to disagree with the above. http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/resources/factsheets/pdf/oralsex.pdf
Check out the link above. Not trying to argue but rather why the difference in data?
No incident HIV infections among MSM who practice exclusively oral sex.

There is no debate (among experts) about the HIV risks associated with oral sex. The risk is so low that almost nobody who cares for HIV infected patients has ever had a patient believed to have been infected that way. Among experts, it's a semantic issue about using terms like "no risk" and "very low risk". There is no difference between my or Dr. Hook's use of "low risk" and other experts' "no risk".
DR. HANSFIELD
"And oral sex is basically safe sex -- completely safe with respect to HIV and although not zero risk for other STDs, the chance of infection is far lower than for unprotected vaginal or anal sex. Please educate yourself about the real risks. If you stick with oral sex and condom-protected vaginal or anal sex, you have no HIV worries and very little worry about other STDs. " DR HANSFIELD
"I am sure you can find lots of people who believe that HIV is transmitted by oral sex, but you will not find scientific data to support this unrealistic concern..." DR HOOK
"HIV is not spread by touching, masturbation, oral sex or condom protected sex."- DR. HOOK
in the public HIV Prevention forum of MedHelp, TEAK and the other moderators maintain that oral sex in all forms is a zero risk activity. Would you agree with this assessment?
I TOTALLY AGREE / DR GARCIA
"HIV is not spread by masturbation, through oral sex, through kissing or other casual contact." Dr.Hook
"The observation on thousands and thousands of observations is that HIV is not spread by oral sex (of any sort)." DR HOOK
Thanks. A quick internet search on the issue provides mulitiple opinion on the matter. I do appreciate your input.
Your research is incorrect. There is no risk from oral sex. Just read any 10 posts at random in any of the HIV forums. It's the most popular topic on the forums.
