hiv window period altered by general anestisia?

hi. I had an vaginal intercourse with a sex worker at nov 28th 2009 . The condom broke and i dint realize until i ejaculated in her. I had a surgery for tonsillectomy and septoplasty under general anestisia at jan 8th 2010. My health has gone worse from then. I have fever,rash on palm,muscle and joint pain and throat infection. I got an elisa done at 1st march and 15th march which came back negative. I got an p24 done on  4th march 2010 which was negative. Can window period be altered due to general Anestesia or any medicines? Should i get further testing? Am awaiting my western blot results from 15th march.

i assume you have payed for it...
in that case, there is no harm getting it..
note that western blot is not a screening test for hiv,its a confirmatory test done after a person is tested positive using antibody test to rule out false positive result

i live in india..elisa used here are of 2nd or 3rd generation
don't obsess about hiv..

thanks for your reply. Its just am not sure how reliable hiv testing in india is. I have on clue what generation of testing kit were used

you said they used Elisa (Elisa kits in india is of 2nd or 3rd generation)
in both kits, a result at 3 mths post exposure would have given you a reliable result

you have to go see a doctor if you have health concerns
it is NOT hiv related as you tested negative at 3 months
you have to believe your test and dont keep thinkin about hiv :)

Its just i have sore chest and under arm(i have heard that there are lymph nodes there) and painful lymph nodes under the neck.i have had a vdrl and hep b blood test which came back negative. My chronic pharyngitis around when i had protected vaginal and unprotected oral with a gal i hardly knew around march 2009,i have lost contact with her now..

1-widow period is not altered by anesthesia..as per medicines,it is only altered with antirejection drugs(after organ transplant)
2-further testing not required
