scared to death

i had sexual exposure (protected) i  had all the symptoms and its been more than two years, last test was 24 months it  was negative  i was shocked and screamed  when i got my results.anyway i  am going for test again for my work permit process now again horses are running in my mind is it possibe for HIV to stay dormant and undetectable for this long

Hi there.

You had protected sex buddy which has no risk of HIV - it's great that you got tested but not relevant as you had no risk.

You really are HIV negative and can move on from this.

Kudos for using Condoms - you will never have an issue if you continue to do this :)

The answer is no. You do not have hiv. A 3 month negative antibody test is considered conclusive. Antibodies will show as early as 4 weeks post exposure and by 8 weeks almost all infections are picked up. Don't work yourself up over it. You will be fine. All the best.
