HIV Risk from dental scaling

Few months ago I went to dentist from scaling treatment. Dentist or her assistant didn't change the scaling tip in front of me. I am worried if her assistant forgot to change the scaling tip and reused that on me. What are my risk if they reused the scaling equipment?

People don't get hiv from dentists so that's why it never makes the news - it can't happen because the hiv is dead in air. Only non sex risk is quickly sharing hollow needles that you use to inject with.

The scaling tip is also kind of hollow that's why I am worried.
Reread the advice about only because hiv prevention is straightforward and doesn't involve kind of situations. Do you really think dentists infect patients but it never gets in the news.
Sorry I am disturbing you again. Many sites in Google says that dental equipments can cause diseases live HIV or hepatitis if they reused. I am planning for baby that's why I'm so much tensed. Please help
Whatever you read is incorrect.  Stop Googling looking for evidence that you're going to get HIV from a dental treatment.  This is NOT a risk.  Move on with your life, and if you can't get over this, see a therapist.
The first step to peace is to stop Googling for death cold turkey because you can read anything on the internet.
"Dentist or her assistant didn't change the scaling tip in front of me. I am worried if her assistant forgot to ...."
I reread your posts and at this point the second important thing for you to resolve is this. Why do you think the dentist or assistant forgot to do their jobs properly? If you have this kind of fear you should tell the medical personnel up front about it next time, so they can show you while they perform a procedure that you are safe, instead of trying to mentally reconstruct the event afterwards.
