HIV Risk

I am very unfortunate lady. My husband had unprotected vaginal sex with a sex worker (HIV status unknown) on 5th july Which I came to know today after some Itchy small red bumps appeared on my belly 3 days ago. I had unprotected sex with my husband on july 7th which is 2 days after he had sex with sex worker. 4 days ago I got flu with runny nose and next day to that I got red bumps scatered on my belly which are very itchy (at night expecially). some of the old bumps have disappeard and some new appeared today. As im still in window period so I have to wait for 2 more months for tests. My husband had -ve HIV test result on August 6th, but its not conclusive.

My questions are:
1) Was I at risk of catching HIV?
2) Could Flu I caught 4 days ago and itchy red bumps on my belly which appeared 3 days ago be due to HIV?

Please analyze my situation and help me to understand whats going on.

Thanks

Dear ZSH,

I'm sorry about the whole ordeal you are going through. Please remember there is a good possibility that the SW is HIV negative. In that business they are very cautious and informed about the STD's and it's transmission. I would suggest you to take a test at this juncture, you are already at the 42 days mark your negative at the 6th week will be very indicative. And, finally back it up with a 12 weeks conclusive test. I promise you  that your 6 week negative changing  ahead is going to be very unlikely.

Now, coming to your questions:
1. Yes
2.  No, your symptoms are very unspecific to HIV, ARS rash doesn't itch. Secondly, flu? ARS flu is a disaster, it can take the subject to the ER, that's the intensity. Very high fever is the predominant phenomenon.

Go ahead and get tested. You'd be in  my thoughts.

Good luck.

You were at risk, but like Vance said, the test result is a good sign, but you cannot be certain until additional testing at the 3-month mark.

I hope you can teach him a lesson from this.

1) Yes
2) You can never use symptoms to diagnosis HIV or get an indication on status. His 4 week test is a decent indication but no way conclusive.
