HIV Risk

Risk of HIV
by tank912, 26 minutes ago
3 weeks ago I went with a sex worker and had protected oral and vaginal sex. I do not recall the condom breaking in any way. She also gave me a love bite around my nipples - I did not see any blood or cut on me but one tiny opening of skin I could see after. She also gave me some closed mouth kisses and one open mouth kiss where we touched tongues and she sucked my lip as she withdrew her mouth. I suffer from ulcers and bleeding gums. 2 and a half weeks later I have a sore throat and swelling around my throat _ I am scared this is HIV symptons as the internet is full of sore throats and throat swelling as a sign of HIV and the coincidence of my contracting a sore throat and swelling at this time seem to much so I can only presume it is HIV symptons

I want a test but believe I have to wait 12 weeks to be sure

Any advice would be appreciated as I am so ill with worry at the moment and can not eat without feeling sick

Hi Again

I am sorry to bother you again but I have been searching online and reading many different websites and all point to my sudden sore throat and gland swellen as a strong sign of HIV. I honestly can't see the heavy coincidence of me suddenly havign swollen glands when I have not had them since being a child and now I have them 2.5 weeks after a risk encounter. I know you try to put people's mind at rest but the facts are that I have had a risk encounter - sex worker with a condon - condoms are proven to be safe but not full proof, kissing with my mouth ulcers and bleeding gums - risk of blood to blood contact, and love bites on my nipples with the sex worker biting me and me having a skin tear as a result

I am driving myself crazy with worry and it is these swollen glands that are proving this to me

Forgot to add- when I got home the love bite marks stayed for 24 hours and I could see a small tear in the skin around my nipple where she bit me.

Hi

I am worried that the love bites around my nipples could have entered blood into my system, also the fact I have bleeding gums and mouth ulcers and the Asian sex worker kissed me inside my mouth and sucked my inner lip as she withdrew. I had stopped worrying but the fact that after 2 and half weeks I suddenly have two clear signs of HIV - sore throat and swollen glands have now worried me sick. I used a condom for oral and vaginal sex and as far as I am aware it did not split but statistics show condoms still pose a small risk. Statistics show one documented case of HIV via deep kissing with 2 bleeding gum people.
