HIV Test accuraccy

Hi All,

Few months ago i was lab tested by 4th gen test with negativ outcome. This was 100 days after completion of PEP and 130 days after the event.

Since then i was only involved in kissing. Also yesterdays i made some cuts on my hand when i was collecting some beer jug glass fragments. Now, already for 5 long weeks i experience rash on my belly.

1. Is there actually chance that the rusult of my previous test (100 days after completion of PEP) would be false negative?

2. Can the injury i made yesterday pose a transmittion threath?

3. Would you recommend me asking for PREP even if i am sexually almost inactive?

Thank you for your time,
AV85

Nope. Hands do not transmit HIV nor does kissing and your tests were conclusive.

Risks for HIV transmission ONLY include having unprotected vaginal or anal sex or sharing IV needles to inject drugs. Air and saliva inactivate the virus. Your test is fully conclusive.

What was your risk that you took PEP. 18 of your 23 posts since May have been deleted, so did you already ask your current questions before?
