You don't have an HIV concern.

A negative test result at any point in the investigation of individual subjects does not preclude the possibility of exposure to or infection with HIV-1 and/or HIV-2.
Yes,there is evidence that p24 antigen is still detectable at 6 weeks and even longer.
Is a duo still good at 6 weeks?

..
You are negative and don't need further testing.

Last Question to Teak and RainLover71!
Are my Tests fully conclusive. Today i found some small red blisters on my penis but no HIV Symptomes any more since 3 weeks. No Fever, nothing
Duo test is good after 6 weeks?
Duo test is good after 6 weeks?
Duo test is good after 6 weeks?
If I personally had an exposure, I would test out to 3 months.
No one can give a conclusive negative to a test taken earlier than 3 months doctor or not, if a person has had a true exposure.
Here it is again for you people that are having trouble understanding HIV testing.HIV RNA by PCR is used for early detection of the virus,it is not conclusive until 3 Months and needs to be taken with an antibody test. The HIV DUO test is 99.89% accurate 4 weeks after exposure but not 100% conclusive until 3 Months.Lastly,6 Months is outdated and not used as an HIV window period anymore. If you are totally confused because the doctors in our expert forum are saying that certain HIV tests are fully conclusive before 3 Months that's because they base their advice on science not guidelines.
There are no tests marketed or sold to give a conclusive negative test result earlier than 3 months post exposure. The CDC has nothing to to with the testing guidelines, the guidelines are set by the manufacture and the FDA.
Yes, that's true in some cases the docs will state that, but WE follow the official guidelines on this forum.
Vi_man, what was it that was not exactly clear about my reply? I thought it was pretty straight forward. The official guidelines for testing recommends testing at 3 months post exposure, unless one falls into that small category I mentioned above (people who are very severely immunocompromised).
If you prefer, check out the expert forum, where the doctors have indicated over and over and over that testing past 3 months is never necessary, except in those rare cases, and even the vast majority of the immunocompromised will test + within the 3 month window period.
Debate away, but the fact is 3 months is all that is necessary to cover the window period during seroconvserion.
Thanks for the repaly and sow fahr i am fine, money is nothing
and yes if you insist on having unprotected anal sex on a regular basis you will have to test for the rest of you life. Everyone needs to wrap up period. or you might inevitably end up with hiv.
You know what the worst thing for you is? A freakin computer monitor. you are fine. you will go crazy if you sit in front of the computer all night. A duo test that late isnt worth what you pay. All you need is an antibody test after 12 weeks. plus you had the duo test around the correct time. Relax. no one can tell you what to do but you are neg buddy. plain and simple.
You make me crazzy. That means i have to Test for my hwole live???
What about the p24 in the Duo Tests. Are they dit. a part of the Virus?
I am not talking just about an Antibody Test at 12 weeks or later. As the Experts are saying, the Level of p24 is very high at 4-6 weeks where I did my first Duo Test. Most of the Experts are saying, if the p24 is not det. at 4 weeks and no Antibodays at 12 weeks then the Test is conclusive.
Is that wrong now?
Teak and the other Specialist in the Forum, please.....
U can undergo a test after six months of exposure....As some people may need six months to develop antibody...U can do an anti body test lik Anti HIV ELisa method......for ur mental peace...........
Thanks Teak, nursegirl, WindowPeriodNew.
My Qestion was not if a Duo is conclusive at 4 weeks anyway. My first was at 5 weeks and 6 Test at and after 12 weeks inclu. 2 Duo Test.
I will try to move on and to forgeth HIV.
Wish all the best for your guys spec. for Teak!!!
