HIV Testing -

Hi

Into 29th Day post exposure (condom slippage - )

28th Day have done a combo/ Duo test ( HIV 1 & 2 + p24 antigen ).

Test result is -ve .

can this test be considered as conclusive .

clear insight is desirable pl help

In the UK a negative result at 28 days with a HIV Duo test would be classed as conclusive but I know that in other countries, including the US the guidelines are still 3 months for a conclusive result.

Maybe Teak can elaborate on that as I only use the UK guidelines in my clinic when dealing with the DUO.
