Risk Assessment

Dear All,

10 weeks ago I received unprotected oral sex.

I have been tested last week (thursday) in order to suppress my anxiety. The test result was negative.
The nurse used butterfly needle but I did not see her unwrapping the needle in front of me. However, I observed that the tube connector between needle and collector was empty- no blood.

Today, I noticed rash on my right arm- 8-10 red, tiny dots.

My questions are:

1- I know that my blood was vacuumed from my vein to outside. But I am scared because the blood of former patient at the tip of needle might touched my vein.
Can hiv be active at the tip of needle for 3-4 minutes?

2- What do you think about my risk?

It is not polite of you.
You are working as a health provider, know a lot about my question but you do not answer.
Why do you do that? Why don't you write some explanation? I have 10 red marks on my arm now and this is the first in my whole life.

The mind can play games sometimes.  After my exposure after a needle stick i got very worried about needles.  I have devolped a phobia for them.  Butterfly needles cannot be reused.  What was your risk for testing in the first place?
