Hello Dr,
Had unprotected sexual contact with sex worker a year ago. Had got tested for hiv (3rd gen elisa antibody) after one year of exposure and second time (4th gen EIA) at after 15 months after exposure. The results were negative. Had my CBC checked during the test and i was concerned with the diff.lymphocytes count. The reference range was 20 - 40%. I had 21% and 20% at first and second hiv test. I remember a year ago they were close to 30%. The doctor were not concerned about this.
Now i have got angular cheilitis for around 15 days . Have a burning sensation and dryness at corner of mouth.
1) Could both of my test be false -negative, that i have not generated antibody's to be detected by tests.
2) Do i need to continue testing
3) I am under lot of stress for past one year, which has contributed to increased blood pressure. Does stress cause angular cheilitis.
Please advice
Thanks.
