HIV and oral sex

Hello all,

Let me cut to the chase, about 2 and a half weeks ago i recieved unprotected oral sex from a girl that i basically just met. It lasted about 5 minutes and i did ejaculate in her mouth.   I did not notice any cuts or sores in her mouth or on my penis.  She told me that she was clean but since i dont know her sexual history i cant help but feel anxious that i somehow contracted HIV or some other STI.  Is an HIV test necessary? What are the chances of contracting HIV this way?   Please help!  I am freaking out!

I would like to say thanks to all the experts that offer this 100% no chance hiv from oral sex. last year i had unprotected oral sex with a sex worker i spent just about a year freaking out whent to a few DR and the ER and everyone told me about the window period and that i would have to wait 3months for 50% results and for 100% could take up to 6months needless to say this did not help me at all. It sent me into a HIV panic  could not sleep barley ate basicly made myself sick Google was the worst part endless hours searching google
was afraid to sleep with my wife  for fear of giving it to her and never once did any DR tell me there was next to no chance of catching it from oral sex needless to say i don't have hiv and when i stoped thinking about it aka freaking myself out  things got better. The mind is a very powerful thing and sometimes you can make yourself sick just by thinking about it every time i would read the symptoms  of early hiv i swear i would start feeling them head ache hot flash sore throat  ect  i would recommend  you take there advise  stop  thinking about it  and learn from this mistake  i hope this hiv panic helps to change your life like it did for me realy  learn to enjoy things in life  and don't ever risk it condoms save life's. So if you dont have 1 remember  all this and just say NO.....there is nothing worth your peace of mind calm down and try to relax and for the love of GOD stop googling lol

hiv is NOT transmitted through oral sex.

There is no debate (among experts) about the HIV risks associated with oral sex.  The risk is so low that almost nobody who cares for HIV infected patients has ever had a patient believed to have been infected that way.  Among experts, it's a semantic issue about using terms like "no risk" and "very low risk".  There is no difference between my or Dr. Hook's use of "low risk" and other experts' "no risk".
DR. HANSFIELD

"And oral sex is basically safe sex -- completely safe with respect to HIV and although not zero risk for other STDs, the chance of infection is far lower than for unprotected vaginal or anal sex.  Please educate yourself about the real risks.  If you stick with oral sex and condom-protected vaginal or anal sex, you have no HIV worries and very little worry about other STDs. "   DR HANSFIELD

"I am sure you can find lots of people who belive that HIV is transmitted by oral sex, but you will not find scientific data to support this unrealistic concern..."   DR HOOK

"HIV is not spread by touching, masturbation, oral sex or condom protected sex."- DR. HOOK

in the public HIV Prevention forum of MedHelp, TEAK and the other moderators maintain that oral sex in all forms is a zero risk activity. Would you agree with this assessment?
I TOTALLY AGREE / DR GARCIA

The observation on thousand and thousand of observations is that HIV is not spread by oral sex (of any sort).  DR. HOOK

please read the forum...it is FULL of posts regarding oral sex.  a penis is a penis and a mouth is a mouth.
