HIV and skin conditions... infections

Are skin infections and HIV correlated?

I am hsv-2 (genital herpes) positive by the way.

I develop infections of the skin fairly easily, since 2006.  Usually MRSA, cellulites, and abscesses… my last HIV screening was during 10.2008 (negative).  I have been able to recover from these infections without complications.  are my skin outbreaks caused by HIV?

Let me know… Thanks, I appreciate it.

Teak... thanks for the response...

well, i WAS having UNPROTECTED sex after 10.2008... with my ex-girlfriend, who gave me herpes.  we're broken up as of late early November 2009.  I have no idea where she is at the moment.

I will be tested once i hit my (3rd-4th) month mark of abstinence.  once again, thanks.

Since you aren't having unprotected sex then the answer is no.
