HIV exposure and mono symptoms

My boyfriend is HIV positive and I first had intercourse with him about 1 - 1 1/2 month ago, Recently I went to the doctor and was told that I have glandular fever commonly known as mono. My friend who is a medical student mentioned that symptoms for mono are often confused with the symptoms of HIV where your tonsils and glands get swollen and you have high fever. My boyfriend and I used protection every time and did not have any condom failure either. However, we were not overly careful being intimate. I cant get tested before another 2 months anyways. Do you think I have anything to worry about??

Assad 100 ! The poster is a male, and when he talks about his "boyfriend", naturally the first thing in anyone's mind comes "anal sex" because boys are not "fitted" with vagina, are they?

So Lizzie is right in writing her response, particular to this specific case. Otherwise read all other responses from her, she has been telling more than many times that unprotected anal and vaginal sex are the only routes of transmission of HIV when it comes to sexual routes.

sounds like mono to me.

if you have not had unprotected anal sex, then you should have nothing to worry about.
