HIV from a hair cut at Barbara shop?

A barbara in ENgland cut my hair using clippers; when he cut a line under my neck, he really bruised me; I could not not touch the area for a few days because it was burning. I showed it to several people and every body said there was not "cut"; I do not know if there was blood when he first bruised me.

I went back to the Barbara and asked him about it; he said there was not cut; and that he spray the clippers.

I am really worried. Can you get HIV from a bruise like that ? Clippers were really sharp; It has been seven days, and now I have some headaches, and stye on my eyelid, which is swollen? Are these symptoms?

no one here can "diagnose" you...but what we can do is tell you that whatever is going on with you, has NOTHING to do with hiv.

please post in the correct forum...this is not it.

If you are concerned about symptoms then see your doctor. There are NO doctors on this forum to help you diagnose your symptoms. Or, if you can't wait until Monday then post in one of the expert forums.

This forum cannot help you beyond addressing your HIV concern, and we did that.

I have a legitimate questions about legitimate "symptoms." You could of course simply answer it, simply without being dismissive about it. It is not pyschological. I have joint pain and nausea, which happen about a week after the incident in question.

This forum is not a psychological support group for people with disease phobias and it ONLY deals with HIV issues, which you do not have.

Take your concerns to the Hepatitis forum.

Please, I know you guys said that one cannot get HIV from a haircut bruising. But now I have joint pains in my fingers and toes; they come and go quickly. If this is not HIV, can this be heptatitis C? Some say that you can get hetaptitis from clippers and razors?

I would really appreciate your help. I consider you a support group. Please do not say, move on. Because I am not imagining these symptoms.

Thanks

Your question was answered if you took time to really read what was written and think about it for a minute.
A needle as in IV needle for drug users, because when the blood is captured it is air tight. All other surfaces do not pose a risk for HIV.

You had no risk.

I do not know what you mean? Is sharing needle a "sexual" thing? So it is not correct to say that is just transmitted sexually? Anyway, nobody seems to answer the question I have.

So you mean: if the clippers or razzors had blood them from a previous customer, and the same clippers bruised someone else, it could in no way transmitt the disease? why not? No body seem to answer my question? Blood is blood?

Sharing razors or contact from hair clippers is not an issue because the blood is exposed to air, which inactivates HIV.

Sharing needles is a completely different scenario and refers to IV drug users sharing works...if you did not shoot up heroin at the barber shop from a used needle then you have no HIV concerns.

I am not sure what is meant by environmental surfaces; why does CDC says that it does not recommend  sharing razzors, and needles? Are they not environmental surfaces?

After you were advised it was a no risk situation, that's the end of it.

HIV is a SEXUALLY transmitted disease. HIV would only be transmitted at a barber shop  if the barber inserted his penis inside you.

If you cannot shake this notion then consider seeing a psychologist about OCD.

I do not know what you are saying; I have never visited this forum. My question is about getting HIV from a hair cut bruising. Can you get it that way? What if it has infected blood?
