ARS symptoms .Is this HIV or what?
Hi,
Last 2 weeks are horrible period of my life.Nearly 42 days before I had protected sex with CSW in Mumbai.Condom covered half of my penis and there was a dry sore on the uncovered section of that penis.I also did fingering and I has small fresh red tear on the skin on my finger.
ARS symptoms:
4 week and 1 day:High night fever(102 F),night sweats,body ache,head ache,sleeplessness ,high fatigue,dizziness,funny,blurred vision and white spots on tongue.each and every one of them ...this lasted for 12 days..Even my doc was puzzled..He gave me every range of drugs..Bacterial,malarial and finally viral.However nothing seemed to be worked.However the fever disappeared on 10-12 days..
Tests:
1)During the fever time on 35 day I tested for HIV DU0 by Vidas method came back negative.
2)I tested again on 40 day(i.e after the completion of 39 days) by using HIV1/2 DUO(Ag/antibodies) by CMIA method..This also came as non reactive (0.34)however I did the same test last year and it was 0.15 (non reactive)
3) I am going to test again tomorrow 42 days after exposure by using same HIV1/2 DUO(Ag/antibodies) by CMIA method..Since tomorrow is exactly the completion of 6 weeks and 13 days from the onset of symptoms.
Question:
1)What are my chances of getting HIV?I had every symptom of ARS.They appeared as ARS and are very similar
2) Is HIV DUO(CMIA method) reliable on 39 days after exposure?Or I am a victim of False negative.
3)what is the reason for the rise in Index level even though non reactive(0.15- previous year and 0.34--current test).Is this due to medication.
4) 45 days HIV DUO(CMIA method) --non reactive (index 0.16)
Tests said it only includes HIV1 (group M and O) and HIV 2 group.However I have heard that there are other strains like N and P..also HIV2 infection leads to slow production of antibodies . ...I am really worried about other stains too.
Expert members please help.My life has turned upside down.I have read some post here.Some people even though they had protected sex (without condom failure) have contracted HIV.

not tiny holes but the tear was not noticed...I never had such kind of fever in my life
