Relevance of test at 4 weeks

Hello. I have just had a negative test result 4 weeks after what you would call a low / very low risk encounter. How much peace of mind can I take from this ?

Thanks

For any sexual exposure, other than unprotected vaginal or anal sex, you do not need a test.

If you had a known risk (unprotected anal or vaginal sex) then a test after 6 weeks is reassuring but not conclusive. For a conclusive test, you have to wait until 3 months mark.
