Is it possible to get HIV if your penis (urethra) got into contact with the urinal?

So yeah, I was at a sports venue and I was pissing and it was crowded and there were a lot of guys at the game. The thing is, someone behind me pressed into my back and my dick entrance (my urethra) touched the back of the urinal like two lovers kissing for a bit. I heard that the urethra is a mucuous membrane where HIV can enter, but am I at risk of getting HIV?

In addition, let's say someone jerked off/bled into the urinal before I got there, is it still possible to get HIV or does it just die once it hits the urinal?

No, otherwise everyone in America would get it from touching "infected" surfaces. It isn't like a cold where that virus is spread that way and everyone gets it every year.

ou had no risk and a test would be a waste of time.

HIV is instantly inactivated in air and also in saliva which means it is effectively dead so it can't infect from touching, external rubbing or oral activities. It doesn't matter if you and another person was actively bleeding or had cuts at the time either because the HIV is effectively dead.

Only adult risks are the following:
1. unprotected penetrating vaginal
2. unprotected penetrating anal sex
3. sharing needles that you inject with. Knowing these 3 are all you need to know to protect yourself against HIV. Your situation is a long way from any of these 3.
Even with blood, lactation, cuts, rashes, burns, etc the air or the saliva does not allow inactivated virus to infect from touching, external rubbing or oral activities. The above HIV science is 40 years old and very well established so there is no detail that you can add that will make your encounter a risk for HIV.

So just to clarify, and please correct me, even if the back of the urinal was covered in fresh semen and blood by someone a few seconds before and my urethra touched it, there is no risk of infection because the HIV dies because:

1) Air instantly kills HIV (or at least gets rid of most of it)

2) The bacterial content of the back of the urinal would have killed the rest

So then as a follow-up, can't HIV live for a while outside the body (like in dried blood)? Isn't the urethra a mucus membrane that absorbs this?
Also to add, my urethra was touching the back of the urinal for more than 10 seconds....
And to add a last point, it was a sports venue so there were a lot of people who were basically pissing so there was literally less than 5 seconds between each person using it....
And this is a bit embarrassing, but I had a little bit of pre-cum coming out of my urethra as I had masturbated earlier....

Does this make HIV more easily to travel if I touched the urinal?

Hello, your question has already been fully answered by our members.  They've told you accurately that this is not a risk.  It doesn't matter if the urethra is a mucus membrane or not, as our members have stated, you would not get HIV from touching the urinal with your penis.

Since this should answer your concern, we are now closing this discussion.  We wish you the best.

no, not a risk.  Not at all.  You can not get HIV from touching a surface even with the tip of your penis.  Transmission only takes place INSIDE the body.  That's why it requires penetrating vaginal or anal unprotected intercourse or sharing of IV drug needles.  what you write of is not a risk in any way shape or form.  No risk, relax and move on.

But isn't the urethra a mucus membrane? What if someone had ejaculated or bled on the back of the urinal right before me? I had pre-cum as I had masturbated before going, and I don't know if this makes it easier for HIV to transfer....
