Thank you so much for your answers

Teak on the report that I received, there was nothing  showing my exposure. Does this actually shows that was exposed?

Actually what happened is that I took this test at a free clinic, so when the results came out I went for the appointment with this doctor that I never met and he seriously impacted my life.He had the report in his hands and he explained to me that on all the STDs test results nothing was detected. But he told me that I may be positive on the HIV test, That he thinks I am positive, 90% positive. That he would have to do the test again but he doesn't think it will change any thing. He started asking me about my family, telling me about Magic Johnson. I was totally lost, I had millions thoughts in mind, Confused. Then he left saying that he was going get some paper work for me to sign. He came back saying that he just talk to a doctor specialized in HIV and that there is instead high hope explaining that he would have to recollect my blood for another test.
That he was told by that I happened to be exposed in the past. Can you imagine?
They took my blood and had to wait for another two weeks for the results.
I spent the rest of that DAY very confused, I went to work and I couldn't do any thing, I didn't sleep that night, lost appetite, the second day, same thing. All I was doing is thinking and I think I lost about 10 lbs in two days.
I couldn't take it any more, I then decided to go to a rapid testing center and the result came out NEGATIVE.

hey teak .. i have a question base on your answer to rainbow_ike...

when i went to get my HIV test at a local health dept i had the rapid which count for one. then im waiting for the other test that was send to the lab. ok now are these two test count for one or two..?

reason why i ask is because you answer rainbow_ike that they don't give two test unless is a positive one then a confirmative. can you explain ?

They do two teat at the same time for false positvie/negatives.

GO TO THE DOCTOR WHO GAVE YOU YOUR TEST FOR THE ANSWER.

As a social worker who worked in AIDS, I was opposed to the change of rules when they stopped giving counseling with ALL results. You should have not been sent out of the office with this worry.

Make noises about malpratice - this should have been explained and bot just handed to you. DEMAND AN APOLOGY FROM THE MD.

Although I am not an MD - it sounds negative to me - so go out and buy a BOG supply of condoms, buddy! - whatever gender you are. Females are responsible for protecting themselves as males are!
