widom tooth

hi,

i recently went to the wisdom tooth extraction, as i got phobia for HIV, when i am taking the antibotices given by the doctor, i am scared that there could be blood left behind by the nurse who give me the medicine. Because the antbotics is in a airtight bag like zip lock bag, i am scared the the hiv virus will not die even after 1 day. I have open the zip lock bag up for 3 times in the day and a interval of aboout 1-2 minutes.

I want to know if there is a risk if the nurse bled or she touch blood from other patient and some amount went into my medicine and unknowingly i swallow it 1 day after my wisdom tooth extraction, am i at risk?

thanks before

Do you know what phobia means?  It means having an irrational fear.  That is exactly what is going on here.  Your fear of infection in the event you describe is completely irrational and not based on any realistics facts or the science of HIV transmission.  HIV is transmitted primarily by:  Unprotected Anal/vaginal intercourse, sharing IV drug works and mother to child transmission (birth and breastfeeding).  Unless you were having unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse with the nurse or sharing intravenuous drug works with her AND she was HIV positive you don't have a risk.  See how ridiculous that sounds?  That's my point.  You did not have a risk.  Please move on.
