acute hiv

Hi i had unprotected sex with a female 11 and half weeks ago and at about 6 weeks started to get blurry vision and congestion also i have had 2 rashes on my chest that lasted a few hours and a dry throat and mouth. i still have the blurry vision and congestion i went to the sti clinic at 2 weeks and all was negative i know this is to early for a conclusive hiv test and i will go back next week for another blood test. The question is would i still have acute hiv at 11 weeks? and are these symptoms?
Many thanks for any advice

Dear, always remember, never drive a car or a lady when drunk, as both carry life risk. Although your symptoms do not resemble with ARS but for the sake of knowledge, ARS appear typically after 2-3 weeks of exposure and last for 1-2 weeks.

Don't worry i never will go unprotected again i've only had 6 sexual partners in my life and have always been safe until this time which was because i was drunk, my anxiety has gone through the roof.

Also how long does ARS last???

Not everyone contracts HIV, even he/she has unprotected sex with an infected partner. In fact, HIV is not easy to transmit, unless all the transmission conditions prevail. And I would call it a blessing from the Lord.

Your symptoms do not look like ARS. However having said that, an act of unprotected sex with anyone of unknown status warrents a test because unprotected vaginal or anal sex is the prime cause of HIV transmission in sexual routes. Your risk may not be significantly high, but is not zero either, therefore get yourself tested anytime and hopefully you will get a negative report, this would give you the ultimate peace of mind. Remember, never ever go unprotected in future, sometime we do not get a second chance.

Dude just get tested after like 3/4 days and get your negative test result.
Your symptoms dont sound like ARS and symptoms are unreliable as I have learned from this forum and the doctors here.
The chances of you getting HIV from 1 single unprotected vaginal exposure is truly very very very slim.

Be safe next time.
