Help! im worried sick.

Hi, i am 17 and i have been a dental nurse for 6months now and about a month ago i was disabling a matrix band (a metal band we put round the tooth to keep everything in place whilst we put the filling in) wearing latex gloves! anyway after id disabled them i looked on my finger and i had a little cut on my index finger and quite alot of blood comming out of it so i rinsed it and squeezed it and used alcohol scrub on it and it healed up fine after a few days.
Then after 2 weeks i got a sore throat which my dentist told me when i had a check up was due to my wisdom tooth coming through, then a couple of days after i got a bit of a cold, just runny nose and tiredness not a full cold. anyway it lasted about 3 days. but for some reason i started to worry and looked at the symptoms and the cold symptons are the same as HIV ones and come on 2weeks after bein infected. i looked at the medical history of all the patients we had in that day and NONE of them were hiv-positive, which made me feel abit better, but recently ive had a bit of thrush and remember seein that as one of the symptons.

So can anyone tell me if i should get a test or whether they are just day to day things that happen and im at no risk?

please reply soon im worried sick!

thankyou!
that has put my mind at ease i also read that there has only ever been once person that worked within the detal industry that has contracted hiv from a patient.

i am also due for a blood test in a month or so anyway to make sure im immune to hepatitus b so surely they would notice something when they test for that and let me know.

I would look for Teak of Lizzie to respond but I don't believe there is any real risk here.

HIV DOES NOT penetrate Latex (why condoms work).  No risk as long as the latex was in tact and even if not very very very low risk!!!
