You went to an expert doctors forum where Dr Handsfield gave you an assessment and said your test results prove that you did not catch Hiv.Do you think he is playing games with you when he makes those statements. You need to trust in what he has advised. He is an expert of many years and I don't kiss up to anybody for your information, and no I am not an expert, but I work with them.My best advice to you is trust the experts.I do.

My bigest mistake is that I mentioned where I was from.  You started the attitude that second.
Anyway ill take my questions else where mr. Teak just like u adviced me.

Stop posting that on my thread.  My question is that the test indicated <20 and wither the test reads zero sometimes.  That's all. But you can not understand the question and dr. HHH understood it and answered and his answer was clear and simple ( the machines cannot read less than 20.  So you can never see zero. ) Now get it to your head and stop being stubborn

It was very simple it was you that elected not to comprehend. They are not HIV diagnostic tests and they cannot tell you if you are infected or not, now how simple is that? You've been told that repeatedly.

(The test cannot detect fewer than 20 DNA copies.  The vast majority of such results are truly zero, but for legal reasons the test result cannot say it.
Your test results prove you didn't catch HIV.  Try to stop worrying about it. )

I shouldn't believe dr.  HHH ?

20 means nothing,it's the negative antibody that counts,I believe you had a negative DUO at 28 days which is 99.89% reliable. You were told to follow up at 12 weeks for a 100% conclusive result.

PCR-RNA test are supplemental tests that must be used in conjunction with an Antibody test.

Forget about your PCR,it's your DUO at 28 days which is what counts and an expert doctor has explained to you that this test is highly reliable.Just test again at 12 weeks and be done with it,the rest is neither here nor there.Had you taken the HIV RNA by PCR it would have given you a better result. That is a diagnostic test unlike the DNA by PCR.

You sit here explaining why your test is not conclusive and continue to ask the same question over and over. ANS: because they are not diagnostic tests for HIV. They are monitoring tests for people that ARE POSITIVE to track their HIV progression.

You want someone to give you an answer to a unapproved test you took? Well look elsewhere because the test result you received does not mean anything and you might as well take a pregnancy test.

No one is claming that it is aproved and no one is saying that it should be used to diagnore the desease.   Reread the thread perhaps you understand the question

you are right about the fact that you dont care what i think. i asked a very simple straight forward question and didnt get an answer from you. if i wanted a risk analysis i wouldv stated my exposure to begin with. and no you didnt answer my question about the <20 copies. just for the record and for the sake of those who will be looking at this thread, the answer as i got it from the expert form is

(The test cannot detect fewer than 20 DNA copies.  The vast majority of such results are truly zero, but for legal reasons the test result cannot say it.
Your test results prove you didn't catch HIV.  Try to stop worrying about it. )

No you already read my post on the expert form before you even read this post. I am sure you don't know the snwer and just chose to avoid answering the question and using the window as an excuse.
Do not worry even the dr.  Couldn't answer it.   I thank you for trying though.

I just read what you posted in the Expert forum and it doesn't mean a thing. DUO tests cannot give you a conclusive negative test result in 28 days and PCR-DNA tests are not approved for diagnostic use in diagnosing HIV.

If it was a question about exposure and when to test I wouldv asked it straight
Would you explain the <20 part if told you 3 months after unprotected sex ?
