Help on HIV RNA Test Interpretation

Hello all, I had a test done it was RNA, Real Time PCR (Non-Graph) by LabCorp. I have not been diagnosed with HIV but I have a concern, it happened 6 months ago.

Today, my result was HIV-1 RNA by PCR <20 copies/mL. HIV-1 RNA not detected. The reportable range for this assay is 20 to 10,000,000. log10 HIV-1 RNA: unable to calculate result since nonnumeric result obtained. Can someone please help me with this result? Does this mean I'm undetectable despite no diagnosis and no meds? Or does "HIV RNA not detected" mean no HIV present?

I have had a few rapid tests, including 4th generation Ag/Ab after about 6 months (1 week ago) that were non-reactive. My nerves probably have me doing the timing of these tests wrong. Previous symptoms like dry cough, night sweating, swollen throat and lymph nodes did concern me. Most people say anxiety but I am not sure. My exposure was risky- with a promiscuous woman who was shunned away from the whole thing.

Why would it say "<20copies/ml Not Detected?" on the RNA.

Could that be a possible undetectable for HIV without medication?

I am having trouble trusting the 4th gen because I have every symptom in the book plus swelling on inner thigh. The Ag/AB was a rapid test as well.

Please stop analyzing your RNA result. One reason people are usually advised not to test with RNAs for diagnostic purposes is their high sensitivity, price and higher rates of false positives, and that is also why they always have to be backed with an antibody test.

Your 4th gen negative rules.
Your symptoms are not related to HIV.

Try to put this behind you.

No, Hep C wouldn't delay HIV antibodies.

Could antibodies possibly be delayed if someone was co-infected with Hep C?

Your 4th gen at 6 months is proof that you are negative.
