What was your risk for HIV?
What intravenous drugs are you using, and how often?

my risk is
A nurse drew my blood with a bloody hand about 1 month ago

I want to know
Why do people who use iv drugs take so long to produce antibodies?

iv drugs weaken the immune system(or)Is it too late to release antibodies if you are infected with HIV from the vein?

thz ur answer
The only risks for HIV in adults are:
1) Having unprotected anal or vaginal sex, or
2) sharing intravenous needles with IV drug users.

You cannot get HIV from anyone's hands or fingers - not your hands/fingers, not anyone else's hands/fingers, even if the hand has blood or fluid on it.  You didn't have a risk for HIV, so your questions about testing for HIV are not relevant.

Also, if you are not using intravenous drugs, your question is not relevant. This forum is for PERSONAL risk assessment and testing advice. It is not for questions that do not pertain to your situation or questions that make you curious.

You had ZERO risk for HIV. You do not have a "window period."

Move on from this event. I am not answering your irrelevant questions about testing and window periods. They do NOT apply to you.
I'm sorry, Heroine
I was afraid to say that I injected it into the vein. It was the first time.  Does it affect the window period?
Our members have fully advised you that you were not at risk for HIV.  The window period only applies to people who were at risk for HIV, and who need to test for HIV.  Since you had no risk, there is no window period to worry about. There is nothing more for our members to say about your no-risk event.
