Hiv ability to infect

Hi I had an incident regarding an earring I purchased ,reason being my piercing was fresh and unhealed , if there was hiv blood on this earring ,how long would the virus have survived because it took me about 10 minutes after purchasing it to put it in my ear . My main question is how long would hiv survive on an environmental surface such as an earring ?

HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.

HIV is transmitted by;
Unprotected penetrative anal and/or vaginal sex
Sharing works with other IV drug users
Mother to child
