Hiv and alot of symptoms and strange coincidences but negative test after 3 months help?

Okay I've been married for 6 years and i have some questions. 3 months ago i cheated on my husband with an ex and we had unprotected sex 3 times on different occassions. I hadn't seen him in years until recently. He has always been really attractive and charming and seemed like the boy next door and all the teenagers in the neighborhood all had crushes on him. I knew nothing at the time i had sex with him what he had been up to until after. I found out he had been raped in prison, and heard he was highly addicted to drugs and shared needles, which i didn't believe until i walked in on him one day and he had one of his friends shooting him up. I talked to his friend (whos bi-sexual) on text message who told me he took the needle after he used it and drove it in his own arm. I was shocked! Naturally i freaked and used the net to look up symptoms of hiv. Thats when i began to lose my mind and thought about suicide. Because 2 days after the last time we had had sex, i woke up with a severe sore throat, i was in so much pain i couldn't swallow for it would hurt too much i couldn't keep my eyes open, i was so sick, and i had a fever but no cold symptoms. I also had white patches on the back of my throat. I went to the emergency room and they did a strep test twice and both times they came up negative. I also like never get sick! I have not had a sore throat since i was a little kid. They sent me home with anti-biotics anyways because of how sick i was even though they couldn't pin-point the exact cause of it and just determined it was viral. The only thing that gave me a little hope about the whole situation is my best friend at the time, had to go to the hospital the day before because she had a bad sore throat with white patches but they diagnosed hers as bronchitis and she didn't have a fever or anything to go with it. Also the dr told me i would be highly contagious for the awhile (the sore throat and fever) and nobody i live with got it and i'm the one who never gets sick! Everyone in my apt building had had bad colds a few weeks prior to my sore throat including me surprisingly but mine was basically over so the dr told me it wasn't related to my er visit. My roomates girlfriend came done with the same thing i did a couple weeks ago fever, sore throat, negative strep but no cold but this was 2 months after i had mine. Could they somehow be related? I feel so guilty because of my actions. I hate myself so much, and to make things even worse my husband got a sore throat a month after mine (with a cold) and that night he had a seizure and hes never had one in his life. They could not figure out the cause of his seizure (he does not do drugs). Before i told this guy i had slept with to rot in hell, i found out a friend of mine slept  with him and she got a sore throat(only a sore throat) 2 days later. panic attacks, guilt, thoughts of suicide, feeling like the stupidest ***** on the planet, that was all me until this week. I went to get a blood drawn hiv test done at my gynocologist office and i was crying and told them the whole story.  They immediately called me after they got the results back to tell me the most wonderful news in the world, my test was negative! 3 and a half months after the last time i had had sex with this loser. It has eased my mental torture somewhat but i still cant live with the guilt. I also wanted to add the first time i went to get my hiv test done they told me to wait the 3 months and come back but i got tested for chlamydia and gonerhea. I tested positive for chlamydia. So another question i have is could the chlamydia along with the fact i have an iud made me as sick as i was? How accurate is the hiv test after 3 months? Why does it take some people more than 3 months to create antibodies? How common is that? what are my odds that i will have another negative at my 6 month test? Could chlamydia have made me sick like that? Could my roomates girlfriend and i have had the same thing even though my sore throat was 2 months prior to hers? If it was not caused by hiv and it wasn't strep what could my sore throat be from? Could my husbands seizure have possibly been from accute hiv infection? I'm so sad. I truly have learned my lesson and will be the biggest advocate for safe sex for the rest of my life. I will never cheat on my husband ever again. He knows about everything, i told him but he loves me and wants to work things out no matter what. How could i have ever done that to someone who stands by me everyday threw thick and thin . Please i know how dumb i've been, i would really appreciate answers to these questions and not to be shamed anymore than i have shamed myself. Thank you for listening. I also want to mention to everyone, people with hiv can come in all different packages, anyone could have it, even the cute boy next door!

Those who take longer than three months to produce antibodies are people with compromised immune systems. i.e. there immune system is weak and takes longer to react against infections, people on organ transplants or on cancer treatments, which is not the case with you. You need not retest. Your 3 month test was conclusive. All the best.

if you had a test at three months, then the symptoms are not hiv related.

what if you get sick at 4 months out, with flu like symptoms.

if you are not on chemotherapy, taking anti-rejection drugs following an organ transplant, or a CHRONIC long term iv drug user...then your 3 1/2 month test is conclusive and proves that you dont have hiv.
