This is a forum dedicated exclusively to HIV Prevention. Since the OP's lymph node issues are definitely not related to HIV, we are closing this thread to further comments.
Any update on you biopsy...
When ur biopsy is scheduled. pls let us know the results. but hope everything will be fine. Have u gone thru other std tests.
yes i had hsv test after 6 months. Initially i was highly anxious about hiv only.keep in touch ...
You are being argumentative. Accept our advice or or not, we don't care, but this isn't a debate and we're not going to discuss it further.
I am scared because i am doing lympho biopsy, and i was looking for assurance that it willnot be hiv??
"Actually thank u alot for your participation here, you are saying that i have to relax,my tests shows that i am negative thank god,and my lymph node not related to hiv, right?!! And no need for 6 month test??"
Correct. You came here for reassurance. You have had it, in no uncertain terms. Trust the science and your test results. There's no point in asking further: the answers won't change. Move on.
Thank u and thanks your words, but You test for hsv after 6 month of your exposure??
I am in the same boat. had low risk exposure. tested hiv negative at 10 & 14 week cimbo test and 6 month tridot test. but still have swollen nodes at neck, armpit chest bach. my gp said these are fibroma. i test hsv positive after 6 months. i had hsv symptoms as well. i have these nodes are due to hsv. Donot worry you donot have risk from ur exposure...
yeah. totally relax. no need for hiv test at 6 months. you didn't have a risk.
Actually thank u alot for your participation here, you are saying that i have to relax,my tests shows that i am negative thank god,and my lymph node not related to hiv, right?!! And no need for 6 month test??
yeah, they do say that. i just think, there must be a tiny tiny risk nonetheless. not saying that to freak you out though. what they are saying is that theoretically, it is possible, but in terms of studies undertaken, there has been no proven case of hiv transmission from oral sex.
Many thanx for ur reply and assurance, but it keep me wondering about this forum stands, teak , vance2335, lizzie lou and nursegirl6572 keep saying that oral sex and cunnilingus are zero risk even with menstrual blood
if it was 3 rd or 4th generation which unless we are back in the 90's (wish we were - brilliant music) then it surely was, then yes, you are conclusively hiv negative!
Thanks, but is hiv combi test considered as modern test tool?!! And my negative result conclusive?!!
yes, it's as close to zero as you can get, unless you get a load of menstrual blood in your mouth. best to avoid the vulva area if you can ( i think) and 'hit the clit' instead..
Is hiv combi considered moder test method? And remember teak says giving oral to a female is totally zero risk?!!
receiving oral sex is 100% safe, giving oral sex less so, but still incredibly low risk. 3 months is conclusive with the modern testing methods, despite what your doctor may think.
What about doctor says test in 6 month? And isnt oral sex considered safe sex?!
3 months post exposure is considered conclusive. you are hiv free. tender lymph nodes can be caused by all sorts of things, inclduding poking them all the time.
Would you help me in my post?! Do i need test at 6 month or i dont have a risk at all ?? Where should i post about my lymph nodes (neck and armpit))?!
So as u said,i dont have to worry about HIV specially with my test result and my exposure?? And i dont need to test after 6 month?!!
About my existing symptoms, where should i post,in which community group?!!
Many thanx, but my doctot told me i need to test after 6 monrh
HIV test results always overrule exposure history and symptoms. It doesn't matter how high the risk of HIV was at the time of your potential exposure, and it doesn't matter how typical for HIV your symptoms might be. The combi test is 100% conclusive any time 4 weeks or more after the last exposure, and your 11 week and 14 week tests were unnecessary. The negative test results prove you don't have HIV and that something else is the cause of your symptoms.
