HIV risk with condom ?

hello I had sex with a sex worker first time in my life.
I used condom and often checking the status of it.
what I noticed is that while it was perfectly joined as a second skin to the shaft, it could not anyway cover all the shaft length and during usage would eventually cover 3/4 of length leaving the remaining 1/4 uncovered at the base. But it did not slip off it could jsut not cover more than 3/4 of shaft length. Could this situation be a cause of a minimal risk of HIV transmission ?
should I be tested ?
thanks

No risk. All you need to cover is the inner foreskin, urethra and the penis glands.
