Hiv testing angst

I've been living with anxiety and paranoia for a while now and so i decided to get tested and put it to bed..she told me that the rapid test would take 15 minutes and this was 27 days after exposure..but then she read me my results after 7 minutes into the test as negative, so i find myself wondering..how much difference could the last 8 minutes have made?and which line comes first in a positive reaction?

More than halfway slipped condom, not sure if inner foreskin was completely covered for almost 60 seconds.

The control line will, should, appear quickly.
This indicates if the test is working correctly.
No other line should appear for a negative result.
If the test manufacturer says 15 minutes then the test should be timed that long if for nothing less then peace of mind. I've been told a positive result generally appears sooner but when I got tested I made sure they didn't shave time. The test mostlikely is correct though not conclusive at 27 days. A final 3 month test is needed.
What was your exposure?
