iola, haven't you been on this forum before?
I appreciate your help here! I really do
the question was about finasteride. If someone knows something about it or hears please inform
Thanks again
This forum can be of no more help to you if you wish to dismiss your tests results that is up to you but it is time for you to move on.
well the standard is 3 months , if you negative after 3 months everyone agrees you are fine , try speaking to a doctor and ask him to assess you further , i really don`t think it`s a HIV concern
As I said i had a three months negative result and am concerned for the 6 month window period.
As for martial arts this is how it's done
all that symptoms a coincidence?
if you are concerned take a test ... that is the only way you going to allay your fears . anything is possible dude , tomorrow you could get hit by a passing car , the earth could end tomorrow etc ... but chances are practically zero . in regards to martial arts though are fighters checked every year or how does that work ?
I am not convinced. As I said you need to be hiv negative for martial arts and know that people have contracted viruses through blood to blood contacts from fights such like hepatitis c.
Anyway thank you for your answers
You don't have to because that wasn't the risk you came to this forum with. An IV drug abuser would know exactly what I was talking about.
You were given your assessment now move along. You don't have an HIV concern.
by teak "HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host "
"They inject blood into their veins when sharing"
I don't get it :)
They inject blood into their veins when sharing works. Your symptoms aren't HIV related because you never had a risk of contracting HIV.

Don't know for rugby but for martial arts you have to be hiv negative to get a license !
How are iv drug abusers get infected? I think from blood to blood contact.( i ve read that cocaine users are also on a risk)
anyway what do you think about my symptoms? would there be a positive result if symptoms are hiv related?
HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions, therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.
HIV is spread inside the body....Never exposed to temp or ph change or air. That is the difference.
the virus cannot live outside the host , think about this if what you are fearing every single contact sport would have to be stopped ... Boxing , Kickboxing all martial arts , sports like rugby all contact sports ...
I came in contact with blood... I have symptoms related to HIV.. what else should I think , and why a sexual intercourse could be more risky than that?
you joking all this for that ??? dude please , trust the moderators , ZERO RISK , don`t go through what i put myself through , don`t do it . say a prayer tonight embrace the next day and live don`t torment yourself any further , don`t do it , it has taken me months to come to terms , literally months , don`t do it , you are fine ...
luke24-Is anything really 100%, no 100% does not exist and can not exist. But you have to accept reality that it is not going to happen. And you have to accept your test results. We can't be of help if your anxiety is going to take control. I suggest seeing a therapist to help you with anxiety if you choose not to believe your results.
iola80---you had no risk from blood from a fight
I came in contact with blood of a person with unknown status on a fight (so I m very worried).I had open sores on my hands and mouth
The only thing that might delay your tests is if you are on chemo, taking antirejections drugs for an organ transplant or you are a chronic IV drug abusers. nPEP is known to cause a delay but you are not nPEP. Even with that said it is rare.
What about my situation here?
:)
But seriously. Oral sex without ejaculation carries (in most sensible people's minds) zero risk of contamination with HIV. Pre-cum is an absolute irrelevance. Cuts on hands or mouths are an irrelevance. You simply will not become HIV positive this way.
Him sucking you - zero risk of HIV contamination.

There is no debate (among experts) about the HIV risks associated with oral sex. The risk is so low that almost nobody who cares for HIV infected patients has ever had a patient believed to have been infected that way. Among experts, it's a semantic issue about using terms like "no risk" and "very low risk". There is no difference between my or Dr. Hook's use of "low risk" and other experts' "no risk".
DR. HANSFIELD
"And oral sex is basically safe sex -- completely safe with respect to HIV and although not zero risk for other STDs, the chance of infection is far lower than for unprotected vaginal or anal sex. Please educate yourself about the real risks. If you stick with oral sex and condom-protected vaginal or anal sex, you have no HIV worries and very little worry about other STDs. " DR HANSFIELD
"I am sure you can find lots of people who belive that HIV is transmitted by oral sex, but you will not find scientific data to support this unrealistic concern..." DR HOOK
"HIV is not spread by touching, masturbation, oral sex or condom protected sex."- DR. HOOK
in the public HIV Prevention forum of MedHelp, TEAK and the other moderators maintain that oral sex in all forms is a zero risk activity. Would you agree with this assessment?
I TOTALLY AGREE / DR GARCIA
"The observation on thousand and thousand of observations is that HIV is not spread by oral sex (of any sort)." DR HOOK
So what about my symptoms then?
I ve been tested HIV Ag-Ab negative on local hospital (blood donor unit) at three months.
Should I retest at six months ?
No that medicine will not cause a delay. And if smoking and stress caused a delay then no one would have a window period of 3 months.
