I want to be sure about how long hiv takes to show in test

please i need to know and be sure of my health, since last year 21- 23 i was exposed to to a sexual contact after my condom busted, since then i have been living with fear, so during october i had a serious headache which is still disturbing me now but lightly, so i want to know, if it is hiv, although i have not tested for my status, i had sex with another lady in August 12, later on October she went to test and was negative, i want know the maximum month  that hiv can show up in a test. thank you

According to the experts, all HIV tests currently on the market today are conclusive at 12 weeks post exposure. Therefore, since you're saying that you had your last exposure last year, then you can test now and get a conclusive result. As for your girlfriend, you said that she tested at three or four months post her last exposure and therefore her tests would be conclusive by now also.

Your girl friend's test is irrelevant if you had HIV because you could have infected her the next day, so you need to test. All you know about your girlfriend is the only way she can have HIV is if you are positive. This advice is exactly what I said before.

But please i want to know how long it takes for HIV to show in blood test, because my girl friend went for a test after we had sex over 3 months plus or 4 months but she was negative
