How soon HIV symptoms appear

Hi I am a male in my late twenties. 1 days ago, Friday, I had sex with a female sex worker. I gave a little oral

sex, and the instance of was without ejaculation in the mouth. We also had normal sex and used condom.

After coming to house i had fever of around 102-103 just after 5-6 hours. I took some medicine and now the fever

has come down to 100 level after 1 day and now i am regaining strength. I am really very worried that does the

symptoms show in 6-8 hours and have i caught HIV . This has caused me a lot of anxiety and troubling me a lot.
Please advice..

I have gone to the doctor and he has given me medicines for viral fever like antibiotics and cough syrup etc, but still the fever has not completely gone.
Also the flu season is rampant here but still I am thinking of going for HIV testing after 3 months to make sure everything is fine as I am getting very crazy about this and cannot sleep and concentrate on anything.

Could be due to a number of things, If your fever stays that high for more than 3 days see your doctor, but it has nothing to due with HIV.

Most anxiety symptoms match HIV symptoms, Even if they dont match you mind can make you think they do. You have no worries about HIV

If your symptoms become a long time issue see your doctor as it is not HIV related!!

You never had a risk of HIV infection, Testing is not needed

Your symptoms have nothing to do with HIV

You are fine

HIV: In the majority of the infected population, HIV remains asymptomatic for years. The only way to know if you have HIV is to be tested. It is important to know, however, that it may take up to six months after exposure to the HIV virus before you will test positive on an HIV antibody test, although most infected people will test positive within 3 months. A negative test, therefore, isn't a reliable indicator of your infection status if you were only exposed last week. Tests that look directly for HIV RNA, the virus' genetic material, can detect an infection earlier, but are harder to find.

Yours is protected sex, so you are safe from HIV, oral sex no risk. Don't worry but learn about other STD.
